50%의 응답자가 은퇴 후 혼자 고립되어 살까봐 걱정

미국 보험계리사회(SOA)가 45세부터 80세까지 미국인을 대상으로 퇴직후 재정 리스크를 잘 알고 있는지, 그리고 어떻게 은퇴 준비를 하고 있는지에 대해서 2017년 온라인을 통해 설문조사를 실시하였습니다. 처음하는 것은 아니고 2년 간격으로 동일한 설문조사를 실시하고 있는거랍니다.

조사결과에 따르면 응답자의 약 50% 정도가 고령화되어 가면서 집안에만 고립되어 살까봐 걱정하였고, 33%는 본인 사망후 배우자가 혼자 살아갈 수 있는지에 대해 걱정하였습니다.

또한 33%만이 노후자금이 미리 계획한 대로 관리되고 있다고 응답했습니다.

대다수가 현재 금융전문가로부터 자문을 받고 있지 않지만, 은퇴 후에는 다양한 금융 이슈들에 대해서 교육받고 싶다고 말하고 있습니다.

2017 Risks and Process of Retirement Survey

The Society of Actuaries’ Committee on Post Retirement Needs and Risks is pleased to make available the full report of findings for the biennial survey, Risks and Process of Retirement.  The survey, the ninth in the series, was conducted online of Americans ages 45 to 80.  The purpose of the study is to evaluate Americans’ awareness of potential financial risks in retirement, how this awareness impacts the management of their finances with respect to retirement, and how Americans are managing the process of leaving the workforce.  The survey was conducted by Mathew Greenwald & Associates, Inc.

The committee is also preparing several highlights reports that will be posted as they are available.
